Your Aunties Love
Your Aunty can give hugs just like your Mother
Keep your secrets like your Sister
Give you advice like your Friend
But best of all
Be there for you with your Aunties love

You came into my life and
gave me happiness and warmth.
I know why God sent you my way
he sent you because he knew
I needed a friend and you are
that without compare. You
may not be aware but the
things you do and say fill
my days with sunshine and
happiness. And for that I
thank you from deep down
in my heart for being a loving
aunt to me it really means a lot.
Your more then just my aunt
but my friend as well. I look
up to you and I respect you. I
also enjoy our hours of talking
on the phone together and
saying goodbye knowing that
we will say hello again anther time.
Now that I am a aunt myself I
take pried in this gift that God
has given me so that I can fill 5
little hearts with love and good
memories like you have for me
YOUR "AUNTIE" REMEMBERS
I recall the day of your birth;
At the hospital was the place;
Your first day here on Earth:
The first time I saw your face.
Such a beautiful baby boy;
My sweet little nephew-
Surely would bring lots of joy;
To your Mom, your Dad, your Grandparents too;
To each of us, especially me.
We'd be close, I just knew;
A unique bond with your "Auntie".
And it turns out I was right--
I loved you as my own!
We spent many days and nights;
Together, you and I alone.
A task not so easy, indeed;
Threatening to steal you away.
To your Mom I'd beg and plead,
Until finally I'd get my way.
I'd put you in the stroller, go for walks;
Having fun, going shopping, maybe eat lunch.
You were always losing your socks,
And pulling my hair tightly in your clutch.
And no matter what and still without fail,
Or how fast she'd manage to run;
To yank and grasp the cat's tail
Was a game you always won!
As you got older and learned to crawl,
And you were able to move around;
Well, such a "sly fox" you are;
Always sneaking into my purse where my tips are found.
But instead of taking just a dollar bill,
Which there were several of;
Somehow you always managed to steal,
And find the five dollar bill or above!
It's hard to believe that was about seventeen years ago.
I've had my own kids since then;
Wondering where and how have you been?
I'm sad to say we're just not as close,
As we were once at the very start;-
Missing those days sometimes, but what I need most
Is for you to know I'll ALWAYS love you with my whole heart!!
