Itinerary
Day 1: Madurai
After your arrival at the airport, our representative will receive you at the airport and accompany you to the hotel. After-checking in, refresh and relax for some time and get ready for sightseeing. We will visits the famous landmarks of Madurai including Meenakshi Amman temple, Tirumalai Nayak Palace and Azhagar Koil.
Meenakshi Amman Temple
The life of Madurai revolves around this temple. On a hill-top, this is a carved temple with huge Gopurams(Pyramid-like gateway) a thousand pillared 'Mandapam'(enclosed space within high walls). The pillars are actually 985 carved and a few them are producing metallic sound when tapped. These musical pillars are carved out of a single granite rock. From the top of Southern Gopuram of the temple, one can to get a full top view of the city.
Thirumalai Nayak Palace
This palace, built in Indo-Sarcenic architecture in 1523 AD, lies in ruins and what remains are its main entrance gate, the dancing hall and the main hall. Lord Napier restored and renovated the palace in 1866-72. Today, the main attraction of the palace is light and sound show, which is based on the life of "Tirumalai Nayak" and "Silapathikaram".
Azhagar Koil
It is a temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is located on a hill-top, 18-km away from Madurai. The gold idol of Lord Azhagar of this temple is carried around on a chariot for the Celestial marriage during the Chithirai festival.
Back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2: Madurai - Munnar
After breakfast, we proceed for Munnar.
Located in Idukki District( Kerala) at an altitude of 1600 m above sea level, Munnar is a famous hill and once a summer of the British in South India. Munnar locates the highest peak of Anamudi in South India(2695 m high).
The places to visit on our itinerary are Mattupetty Indo Swiss cattle project, Eravikulam National Park, Devikulam aand Nyayamakad
Mattupetty:13 km away, Mattupetty locates a cattle breeding farm as a Indo-Swiss joint venture. Over 100 breeds of cattle are reared in 11 sheds. It is open to visitors between 9 AM to 11 Am and 2 PM to 3.30 PM. There is a dam and a lake to in Mattupetty. Speed boats are available on hire from 9.30 AM to 5.30 PM.
Ervikulam National Park: It is located 15 km away from Munnar. It also has a solar laboratory. This Park a wildlife Sanctuary being a natural habitat of the rare Nilgiri Tahr. The highest peak of Anamudi is also located in the park premises. It is open to visitors from 7 AM till 5 PM.
Devikulam: Just 7 km from Munnar, Devikulam is a pichnic spot with Sita Devi Lake. It is most frequented spot for both tourists and locals. Angling in Sita Devi Lake is allowed with prior permission without using a live bait on fishing rod.
Nyayamakad: Its steep slopes are most fortrekking. In addition, the waterfalls falling from the height 1600 m in lush green surroundings lends this place a picturesque view. Back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3: Munnar - Kodaikanal
In the morning, the fourth day our tour begins with our drive towards Kodaikanal. It os situated on the Palani Hills. Kodaikanal is one of India's most popular hill stations. The scheduled itinerary also includes visits to the Bryant Park, Coakers Park, Green Valley View and Pillar Rocks with steep slopes.
Stay in the hotel overnight.
Day 4: Kodaikanal - Ooty
Day Fourth begins with the morning drive to Ooty. After some shopping, retire to the hotel for overnight stay.
Located at the high plateau hills at 2240m above sea level at the junction of the Eastern and Western Ghats, Ooty is the headquarters of the Nilgris district. Fields in step-farming with coffee and tea plantations amidst the hill forests with trees like confiers, eucalyptus, pine and the wattle makes Ooty a superb place of natural beauty.
The places to visit in Ooty the Ooty Lake, Botanical Gardens and Rose Garden. Ooty Lake in an artificial lake amidst the pictursquesurrounding. Botanical Gardens has a large collection of trees and Rose Garden has a collection of various variety of rose including some rare ones. In Botanical Garden, Summer Festival is held annually during the month of May.
Day 5: Ooty - Coimbatore
The concluding day of our package tour begins with the morning drive. Roam around in the Coimbatore city before boarding your scheduled flight back home or another destination.
Alappuzha Beach
Alappuzha beach is quite a popular tourist spot, known to provide relaxation in the district of Alappuzha (Alleppey). The pier, which extends into the sea here, is around 140 years old. Blessed with nature's green beauties such as lagoons, vast lakes and numerous fresh water rivers, Alappuzha is a natural wonderland of Kerala state.
The Alappuzha (Alleppey) beach is spectacular. At one end are the dense palm groves that are so characteristic of Kerala's landscape. It has a long sandy beach. For the entertainment of visitors there is a Vijaya Beach Park and an old lighthouse nearby.
Entertainment facilities at the Vijaya beach park add to the attractions of the beach. The Vijaya beach park consist of picnic spot with children's park & boating facilities.
