Aunties Two Patterns – make something just a bit different.
Are you looking for a new and unusual project? Then look no further!!! Combine unique materials, your creative spirit, and our patterns to form wonderful (but practical) works of art. We have bag patterns galore, as well as, baskets, bowls, boxes, and rugs - with new ideas coming all the time. Check out our What’s New section for items on the horizon.
New techniques or materials are introduced in our patterns. Current patterns show you how to use leftover batting and fabric strips, weave fabric strips filled with interfacing, or cover clothesline in fabric to make beautiful bags and home dec items. Many patterns utilize the ever popular Bali Pops™ from Hoffman CA Fabrics, exciting new interfacings from Bosal and Innovative Craft Products, clothesline from Whitney Design, and Dill America Buttons.
A bit about me:
I’ve always loved to sew. Just put me in front of a sewing machine and I’ll create. My passion is to reach into the scrap bag and make something new, a bit different, to manipulate fabric, to make someone smile and say – that’s cool!
Hope you enjoy our patterns, Carol McLeod
Series and Reading Order
I began building this site for my own use. I like to read books in a series, and it’s surprising how few author sites have an easy to navigate book list in reading order. Some have book covers that link directly to Amazon, some only list books currently in print, and some are simply a nightmare to navigate.
What I needed was a place where I could quickly access series and reading order information for the thousands of books in my Kindle and Audible libraries. It occurred to me that other people might like to make use of my lists, and there was a possibility that I might earn a bit of book money by providing links to sites where the books might be purchased.
Reviews
I’ve written a few book reviews in my time. Okay, I’ve written hundreds of book reviews. The thing is, I don’t care to write bad reviews. Writers are often tender-hearted people who can be devastated by a bad review.
Even if they aren’t, a bad review can influence their agent, publisher, or editor in ways that will cause them to make poor decisions on behalf of the writer – from downgrading the marketing budget for that writer to cancelling their contract.
I have one criteria for every book I’ve ever read – Will I Read This Book Again? Sometimes the answer is no because the narration of an audiobook is irritating. Sometimes it’s because there are certain genres I dislike for one arbitrary reason or another.
If you want me to read your book, be advised that I won’t review it if I really hate it, but I’ll let you know why I hated it privately.
